Beginnings of the Port in Świnoujście.


Frederick William I, the King of Prussia, decided to deepen Świna river and build a port at the river’s mouth.

1818 - 1829

Breakwaters building caused the port opening to be calm and safe even if it is stormy.


At the eastern breakwater a luminous beacon was placed in order to provide a safe navigation of vessels, and two years later a lookout tower at the eastern coast was built.


Piers protection at the eastern bank of Świna.


Lighthouse illuminated the area.


Polish port regulations were introduced, wrecks were removed from the port.

Building the Base of Coal Handling, Górników Quay (Świnoport II).

Completion of building the Base of Ore Handling, Hutników Quay (Świnoport IV).

Building the Terminal Deza Polska – to handle liquid tar pitch, at Chemików Quay.


Development of the Hutników Quay base commenced.


Beginning of modernization of Portowców Quay and adjustment to unloading.

2002 - 2003

Development of Terminal Deza Polska – to handle liquid tar pitch – two new reservoirs.

2003 - 2004

Building the Container Terminal at Hutników Quay (VGN).


Equipping the Górników Quay with two 140-tone capacity port cranes - Liebherr LHM 500.

Building the Terminal Bunge Trade Polska – to handle corn, at Portowców Quay.

Conversion of Port Szczecin-Świnoujście Establishment into a one-man joint stock company of the Exchequer.

Acquisition of shares by PTK Holding S.A. from Zabrze (then DB Schenker Rail Polska S.A.) and Odratrans S.A. from Wrocław (then OT Logistics S.A) from Zarząd Morskich Portów Szczecin i Świnoujście S.A.

Taking over the controlling interests of Port Handlowy Świnoujście Sp. z o.o. by OT Logistics S.A. subsequent to purchasing shares from DB Schenker Rail Polska S.A.
